Etsy Censored Me... So I Built My Own Store
#BoycottEtsy Started Because My Detrans and Feminist Items Were Banned
Big chaos happened this past July when Etsy abruptly removed several feminist and de-transition items from my online store. Designs on shirts, mugs, and pins with the slogans “Funky Human Female”, “100% Groovy, 100% Woman” and “Believe De-transitioners: First Do No Harm” were banned by the ecommerce platform with no explanation other than it a vague autogenerated notice about diversity and inclusion by the “Trust and Safety” department.
I knew when I created my online business last February that censorship would be a likely possibility, but I forged ahead and sold my female empowerment and detrans awareness collections anyway, exercising my right to freedom of speech and expression. As soon as I got the news that Etsy was unceremoniously shutting down some of my highest-selling items, I took to Twitter and a hoard of TERFS came to bombard social media in favor of women’s speech with the hashtag “BoycottEtsy.” This was not the first time women’s items had been censored by the woke company, but this was the first time a detransitioner was shut down.
Since July, I have worked swiftly to create a new ecommerce store to sell my art, clothes, and home goods, somewhere I wouldn’t face such ridiculous censorship over innocuous designs. It’s a new store with dozens of new items along with fan-favorites, with an entire collection dedicated under “Too Spicy for Etsy” with the banned designs.
The Funk God Emporium is hosted independently with its own custom domain URL funkgod.shop and is open and ready for business! Many supporters during the #BoycottEtsy scandal declared that they would support my designs, but only if they could purchase them OFF Etsy… So here it is! http://funkgod.shop is the place to get exclusive De-trans Awareness designs, along with many brand new post-woke, feminist, funky, and generally based apparel, home goods, and wall art.
Check out some of them down below.

I loved this piece and quoted from it in a post I published today on my 'relationship status' with Etsy. I'll link here -- hope you like it!
