It seems like many of us funky people have been there; in love with someone likely with an undiagnosed cluster b personality disorder. This is where I found myself in early 2021, completely thrown into a wasteland of absurdity. It’s a soul-crushing and mind-bending experience, which I articulate here in this 80s drum, bass, and kooky synth track called Funked into Oblivion. This song takes a journey into the surrealist, intense confusion, and underlying anger and frustration created by narcissistic abuse and heartbreak. Although on the darker side, this track never loses sight of the necessity for funk amidst the most spiritually defeating times.

Although this is my personal inspiration behind the song, the anger, absurdism, and need to work through it is universal, and perhaps many of you can relate to it within your own experiences of being funked (over) into oblivion.
